It has certainly been a drama-filled year thus far at the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals. Actually, Kamloops was rather quiet I suppose, but PG saw the unreal last lap pass by Pourcel on Goerke, and Maff’s untimely rock incident. Calgary Saw Pourcel go down hard in the first turn and lose the Red Plate to Goerke. This weekend it was the biggest drama yet with both MX101 riders having rough first motos: Maff gets his brake pedal stuck in his boot pushing him back to a 16th while Pettis gets diagnosed wrong, rides with a broken Collarbone to 4th and then has to sit out the last moto in MX2. Jacob Hayes leads moto one to only have his bike quiet sending him to rehab for a few weeks now likely missing the rest of the year/ Lastly, In MX1 Goerke was a perfect 1-1 until turns to go in second moto where his chain pops off only to have him remount it and finish 6th and now tied for the Red Plate with Pourcel. I seriously can’t make this up. This is what the hundreds (Calgary had thousands) of fans pay for. Let’s recap through photo from Regina.
