Mondays have not been good days lately. It seems my home is wearing down and things are starting to fail. Nothing catastrophic but none the less, things that Dyson the crap out of my wallet making me growl ion Monday’s. It seems to be the start of the week for quite some time which is strange in a way but it is the way. It was my Gas fireplace that started it all (though that was needed fixing before this current streak of negatives). Then the mantle to cover the fireplace, my sink is acting up as well the toilet now that Jake is a steady pooper. Today it is my Floor heat thermostat, which is no big deal but still another $200. Owning a home is the greatest thing in the world next to having kids. Just like the kids owning comes with huge responsibilities to maintain the home. You can’t time these things to work with your income; you just have to work with how it all comes. Good timing or bad there are certain things that just have to be fixed from time to time. The one constant in all of this is the fact I can never seem to get ahead; its crazy tough but a reality. Trying to plan for the future ain’t easy when dealing with the present doesn’t allow it.
The last big amateur race of the year in the US starts today in Florida known as the “Mini Olympics”. I have been to this event once before back in 2010 and it was awesome. Great weather, great track, unreal amounts of motos and run to near perfection. An event that challenges your Supercross and Motocross skill and in its hay day the event even had some Off-Road riding as well. It’s unique compared to the other big events the fastest amateurs chase in the US. This is the last race for a racer to showcase what they could bring to the table for the upcoming year or the last chance for a racer to keep this trend of a National champion from the previous big races like Loretta’s, Ponca, Texas, etc. Today is just practice and racing (I believe) begins tomorrow morning at 7am-ish. Below is the list of names from Canada that will be lining up.
A big group of some of our very best. Which ones will turn some heads and maybe get their name on the minds of the US industry! Good luck to everyone and do your very best not to suck!!!

This weekend marks the return of Future West Moto Arenacross in its comfortable setting inside Heritage Park in Chilliwack, BC. The series kicked off just over a month again in Armstrong where a huge Amateur turnout battled inside the tight barn. The Pro turnout was a little weak but that didn’t take form the great racing provided by reigning champion Jess Pettis and the champion chasers like Shawn Maffenbeier, Jeremy Medaglia, Adam Entiknap, and the crazy speed of Carson Brown. With the track being way bigger inside “Beats Barn” in Chilliwack I think the racing will be even better, faster, and definitely more intense. Luckily weather doesn’t play a factor in this type of racing but it looks like it’s going to be extra wet all week outside the barn. This series is such a great grassroots playing field for racers on the West coast. I’m excited to get out there on the Mic and ramble on as I watch the future of our sport unfold. Come say hi if you’re in the barn this Friday and Saturday and then again the following weekend.
This is all I have today. I’m not feeling it and really need to fix this damn thermostat.
